Hornblower San Diego Yacht Wedding

There’s something so special about a Hornblower wedding on San Diego bay! Enjoying the Pacific ocean breeze is a nice way to cool down during those hot summer months. Lucille and Keith were married aboard the “Emerald” in the presence of family and friends. The crystal blue waters and the Coronado bridge were the backdrop during this gorgeous harbor cruise wedding.

Emily and Josh’s Wedding- Newport Hornblower

It’s been a while since I last did a blog post!  I’m past due posting about Josh and Emily’s gorgeous Hornblower wedding! The couple celebrated their big day aboard the “Newport” which is docked across from the San Diego Waterfront Park. They were joined by friends and family as they set sail for a 4 hour cruise, including the ceremony and reception. The newlyweds enjoyed their toast, and first dance overlooking the crystal blue waters of San Diego bay for this epic harbor cruise wedding. My favorite wedding is a yacht wedding!

Erika and Ryan 12/4/16 Hornblower “Emerald” San Diego yacht wedding

I am a little behind on my blogging, but here it is! Erika and Ryan’s amazing yacht wedding! These two gorgeous people chose to celebrate their wedding day aboard the Hornblower yacht “Emerald”. They were joined by family and friends in enjoying the breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline from the water. The wedding and reception set sail for a 4 hour cruise which included dinner and dancing and of course CAKE 🙂 They concluded their day with these romantic portraits on the dock. Nothing is more beautiful than a California Sunset on the water. Such a beautiful couple… Best wishes to the Bride and Groom!

Hornblower “Emerald” Wedding October 20, 2016 Sharon and Dominick

This time of year has the best San Diego sunset colors. It’s that October sky with the bright orange ball of fire you’re looking for. Sometimes when the sun hits the buildings just right, you get a reflection off the water that looks like sparkling champagne! This was the backdrop as Sharon and Dominick shared their vows on Hornblower Emerald this past fall. Before the ceremony the Captain opened up the roof on the top deck, letting in a warm balmy breeze- perfect weather! After the “I do’s” the couple enjoyed a fabulous gourmet dinner with friends and family followed by toasting, cake cutting and dancing under the stars! Romance was in the air as they danced the night away and had a special kiss when we sailed under the Coronado Bridge- they say it’s good luck!

Pala Casino Spa and Resort wedding October 15, 2016

I’ve spent some time (and cash) at casinos, but never have I shot a wedding at one! It was actually awesome, and such a beautiful venue at Pala Spa and Resort! Kelsey and Shaun were the sweetest couple, and  they picked the cutest details for decorations. I really loved the color palette with the warm fall colors. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the father of the bride saw his little girl in her wedding gown just before he escorted her down the aisle. It was such an emotional moment that I shed a tear thinking about the day our daughter becomes a wife. UGH I totally cry at peoples weddings! I’m too sensitive for this work sometimes!

Martin and Laura 10/9/16 Marina Village Wedding

Another lovely day for a wedding in sunny San Diego! The weather has been just amazing, and October turned out to be my favorite time of year for a ceremony near the Marina. There was a cool breeze gently blowing as Laura emerged from her bridal room. Family and friends were seated in the shade overlooking Mission Bay. The look on Martins face when he saw his bride coming down the aisle was priceless. I could tell that these two are the real deal! Such love is beautiful to witness. After the ceremony we took lots of cute pictures, and then the reception began. There was plenty of good food, and dancing, followed by a slide show of the couple growing up. It was adorable, and I felt like I knew them personally! The cake cutting and toasts concluded their fabulous wedding day. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Hospitality Point/ Marina Village Wedding September 23,2016

Adriana and Ricky shared their wedding vows, surrounded by friends and family this fall at Hospitality Point. It was a beautiful sunny San Diego day, the perfect setting for a dreamy wedding by the bay. Everyone was excited to witness this cute couple finally becoming man and wife. Such a sweet ceremony, these two are obviously meant for each other. The reception followed at Marina village where they watched the sunset on their wedding day. A classic Southern California backdrop was their setting for the most breathtaking photo moments, before the grand entrance into their reception. Check out the lovely decor including a gorgeous 3 tier cake, and the sweetest pink accents a bride could ever dream of. Their reception was out of this world charming!

Wedding at “The Abbey” August 27, 2016

The Abbey is a gorgeous venue for an iconic San Diego wedding. It is located in the heart of the city, on the edge of Balboa Park. The Abbey is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was built in 1910. Annalise and Christopher chose this magical place to host their wedding and reception last month. We started photos at the Indigo Hotel overlooking Petco Park. All the girls gathered in the Penthouse suite to get ready for the big event! We then traveled a few blocks to the ceremony site “The Abbey”. The bridesmaids wore a beautiful pale pink which added a softness to the urban feel of downtowns’ Fifth ave.  The stained glass windows provided for a classic church setting and lovely photo opportunities. These are some of the favorites from this year!

John and Robin/ Poway Wedding 7/16/16

John and Robin exchanged wedding vows last weekend, at their gorgeous home in Poway Ca. Their private estate was the perfect setting for this intimate backyard wedding. With a waterfall cascading down the hill and twinkle lights illuminating the grounds, the sun set over the valley. The reception immediately followed, with everyone gathering around for the toast by the best man, and then the cake cutting. Finally the real party began as everyone danced, drank and celebrated into the evening with the newlyweds. Congrats to the bride and groom
